Cyprus Credit Union offers a variety of savings options, such as Share Savings, Certificates, Money Market, and more, to fit your needs. With each account being insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA, you can rest assured that your money is kept safe.
Share Savings
A Share Savings is the account you open upon becoming a member at Cyprus Credit Union. Dividends from this account are declared, paid, and compounded monthly. Your money is available to you at any time and there are no penalties for withdrawals. A minimum deposit of $5 is required at opening.
Certificates
A Certificate account pays higher dividends than a regular Share Savings. However, your money must be invested over a specific period of time (six months to five years) and cannot be withdrawn until that time. Any early withdrawals will result in a penalty. A minimum deposit of $1,000 is required at opening.
Money Market
Unlike Certificates, the funds in this account do not need to be invested over a certain period of time and can be withdrawn at any time. However, the dividend you receive is dependent upon how much money is in the account. This account has no minimum balance requirements.
Insured by the NCUA - Cyprus Credit Union is an independent member owned cooperative financial institution. Your savings are federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) to at least $250,000 and backed by full faith and credit of the United States Government.
