Essential Small

Our Essential Small Business Checking account is an ideal solution for businesses with smaller deposits and fewer transactions.

  • No monthly fees
  • No fees on first $5,000 of cash/coin transactions per month*

  • Free ACH transactions on first 100 ACHs per month†
  • Free, unlimited ATM transactions at Co-op ATMs
  • Overdraft protection available

* For each additional $1,000 of cash or coin deposits/withdrawals after the initial $5,000, a fee of 35¢ will be incurred.
** For each check deposited or written after the first 100, a 15¢ fee will be incurred.
† For each ACH debit/credit after the first 100, a 10¢ fee will be incurred.

Choice Business
Checking

Choose between a Choice Interest or Choice Earnings account. While Choice Interest accounts earn dividends, Choice Earnings accounts earn credits to help offset the monthly maintenance and transaction fees (these credits replace dividends). Both account types include/require:

  • No fees on first $5,000 of cash/coin transactions per month††
  • Free, unlimited ATM transactions at Co-op ATMs
  • Overdraft protection available
  • Minimum deposit of $50 required to open
  • 5¢ charge per check deposited/written
  • 2¢ charge per ACH debit/credit
  • Monthly fee of $10

What do I need to open a business account?  
Opening an account at Cyprus CU is as easy as bringing your personal identification (driver's license, passport, etc.), ensuring your business is registered with the State of Utah, and providing us your business Tax ID Number. 
Do I have to physically visit a branch to open an account? 
While you may be required to sign documentation in person, we can typically start the account opening process over the phone. Call or email our business banking team to get started.  
Can I run my business transactions through my personal account instead of opening a Business Checking account? 
Separating business and personal accounts is crucial to maintaining clear financial records and simplifying the accounting process for you and your business. Business accounts typically have higher transaction limits to allow your business to grow seamlessly.
